One more week!

Can you believe it! We only have 5 more days of 3rd grade in this 2016-2017 school year! It has been such a joy teaching all of your children. I have loved growing and learning with them.

In math this week we finished up our perimeter and area unit. Next week we will start some geometry fun. We continued reading and writing during our Daily 5 time. Next week we will work on writing a letter to the future 3rd graders; reflecting on all the good times we had this year! In science we talked about each of the 8 planets in our solar system!

I am very excited for this final week, wrapping things up and having a little fun!

Here are a few changes to next week....

Wednesday - no Japanese

Thursday - we will still have P.E. -- after P.E. we will have our Multiplication Ice Cream Party!! (The kids have been memorizing their multiplication facts throughout the year and on Thursday we will celebrate that with a sweet treat!)

Friday - half day! Class party -- we will eat lunch together in our classroom at 11:15 am, play games and have one last recess (depending on the weather). You are more than welcome to join us. Parents, thank you for signing up to bring things for lunch! Friendly end-of-the-year reminders:

1. Class Party! -- Remember, half a day of school next Friday. 12:30 dismissal.

3. Lost and Found -- don't forget to check out the school's lost and founds by Friday, the last day of school.

3. End of the year cleaning and wrapping up -- we will start cleaning up and cleaning our things in our classroom periodically next week.
