Week of May 22 -26

9 MORE DAYS OF 3rd GRADE!!! WOOT WOOT! I cannot believe we are almost done!! Remember, no school this upcoming Monday.

This week in math we are working on finding the perimeter and area of shapes and figures. In reading we are going to start reviewing all the Daily 5 reading strategies we've learned this year. In science we are learning about space! We are looking at each planet in our solar system. First we learned about the sun, then we talked about Mercury and Venus. In social studies the kids are learning about ancient Rome.

5/29 - NO SCHOOL MONDAY -- Memorial Day

6/2 - HS Graduation

6/9 - Last Day of School! And Class Party! (12:30 dismissal) Parents, we will have a potluck lunch!! So, please come and bring something to share with the class. We will most likely be starting our food festivities around 11 am. If the time changes I or Mrs. Novak will let you know. Please sign up through Kiomi Novak to bring something for our party (or send your child to school with something)
