Welcome March! (Friday news from this week)
Today we said goodbye to Kaylee. She and her family are moving to mainland. We are sad to see her leave but we have been blessed to have her in our class!
March is here and it is bringing some warmer weather! March also represents some busy times for us in 3rd grade! We've been working hard on our Country Reports getting ready for Culture Fair. The students have been very busy putting together their country reports. After doing much of the research on their own, we will be discussing what they learned and giving them an opportunity to tell other students what they learned, that's when Culture Fair comes into play -- March 17th is the date for that.
Today, the kids brought home a form about the International Luncheon happening Friday March 17th. We need as many parents as possible to bring in food!! What's your favorite international food? Or maybe you and your child can cook up something from the country they are researching :) Please consider helping out and bringing in something for that fun day!
Please remember to bring in at-home projects for your child's country this upcoming week!! We've gotten a few projects in already and they look great (here's a sneak peek):

Book orders were sent home today! If you would like to order, you can do so online or send in US dollars with the form. The deadline will be March 17th to order.
