November 7-11

We had a great week in third grade!! In math we have started multiplication and learning our math facts. We started our Math Facts Sundae challenge -- where each student will earn a part of the sundae as they master each multiplication set (1's = the bowl, 2's = the spoon, 3's = ice cream scoop, etc....). In reading and writing we looked at how we can tune into interesting words and expand our vocabulary. In science we are wrapping up our rocks unit!

We will be reviewing the past 5 weeks of spelling words. Here is our list for this week. Our spelling test will be Monday, November 21st

Important Notes:

1. NO SCHOOL -- Monday, November 14th

2. Holiday Market -- Saturday, November 19th

3. Pie Day -- Tuesday, November 22nd

**Pie Day will happen on Tuesday afternoon from 1:10 - 2:05 pm. If you are willing to bring a pie in for that time of celebrating and giving thanks I need 5 families who are willing and able! Please let me know SOON if you can do that -- (you can either bring the pie to school yourself and come celebrate with us or send it with your child in the morning). A variety of pies would be awesome, too -- apple, pumpkin, pecan, blueberry, or any other kind of pie you enjoy! :)
