We've accomplished quite a bit in this short week! Let's take a look:

In Math we are finishing up our first unit on expressing, comparing and ordering numbers (test will be next week)

In Science we finished our first unit on water and took our first test!! It was successful, and hopefully your child can tell you the importance of water and the main stages of the water cycle! Quiz them and see what they know...ask them about evaporation :)

In Social Studies we completed our first unit on Canada and took a test

In Reading and Writing we are still working on building our stamina and learning strategies to become better readers and writers. We also took our first AR quizzes of the year! Those results were sent home on the Friday Folders. Our AR point goal for 3rd grade is 4 points this fall.

In Grammar will learned about the two parts of a sentence, the subject and the predicate.

In Bible we are studying Ephesians. We've spent the week reading verses from this book, which is a letter written by Paul. We've been learning about what it means to be a part of God's family-- valuing teamwork, unity and receiving God;s gift of salvation, through Jesus.
